2022 Opening Day: Yankees First Match of the Season vs. Boston Red Sox Rescheduled Friday Due to Weather

New York (WABC)-The Yankees have announced that the opening match with the Red Sox has been rescheduled on Friday due to expected bad weather.

Witness News Meteorologist Jeff Smith said this was a wise move, calling it a “washout”, as steady rain is expected to return at noon Thursday.

The opening ceremony will be set after 1 pm on Friday and the pre-game ceremony will start at 12:30 pm.

Fans with Thursday tickets can use them on Friday or redeem them for another regular season game at Yankee Stadium.
