A man convicted of a high-speed accident in which one was seriously injured

In 2018, the person responsible for the high-speed collision at Fort Myers, which seriously injured another person, was convicted.

According to Fort Myers police, Marvin Preston, Jr., 41, was convicted of leaving the scene of the accident that caused serious personal injury and reckless driving. FMPD states that it was sentenced to 40 months in prison for each count.

According to police, at around 2:30 am on November 17, 2018, police officers answered 911 calls regarding a collision at SR-82 west of Trent Court.

Investigation revealed that when Preston hit the back of another car, he was driving at speeds up to 124 mph and that car was rolling. The person in the car was seriously injured. Preston escaped from the scene on foot, police said.

Preston was not found by the police search team after the crash Arrested in March 2021 After the investigator was able to get his arrest warrant.

Fort Myers police have not stated how people injured in the 2018 crash are currently behaving.
