New York Edge, which runs an after-school and summer program, launched the program with Read-a-thon.
The writer and illustrator virtually met the student on Thursday to talk about the book.
And this summer, students will be able to write and publish their stories.
“We also want our children to love the people who write and draw books and enjoy the joy of reading and meeting, and they themselves are among the writers and illustrators. You will be able to see it, “said Rachel Gazdick of the New York Edge.
New York Edge has also launched a fundraising campaign to support its publishing program.
