A Fort Myers woman was killed and the driver was seriously injured in a crash on Estello’s Williams Road on Sunday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car driven by an 88-year-old Fort Myers man with an 86-year-old Fort Myers woman as a passenger was heading north in the left lane of US-41 south of Williams. On the road, around 9:20 pm, a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old Fort Myers man, a 22-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman as passengers was moving south on US-41 in the north. Williams Road.
The car turned left and entered Williams Road in front of a pickup truck that collided with the rear right of the car. Both vehicles stopped at Williams Road. Both crew members of the car were taken to the Gulf Medical Center, where the woman was later declared dead.
The crash is under investigation.
