Rutgers University at center of new fraternity Hayes lawsuit

New Brunswick, NJ (WABC) — Rutgers is at the center of a new Kasumi lawsuit.

19-year-old Armand Runte was seriously injured nine months ago while pledging Theta Chi on campus in New Brunswick.

According to the complaint, Runte sustained multiple skull fractures after falling down a flight of stairs and consuming a life-threatening amount of alcohol.

The complaint also alleges that members of the fraternity waited three hours to get his help and tried to cover up evidence of the incident.

Theta Chi said she would not comment on the pending lawsuit, but told ABC News that she has a “strict policy against Kasumi during any part of the fraternity experience.”

Rutgers has a policy of ‘no alcohol’ at its activities in Greece.
