Bad weather in the area leads to power outages and road blockades

(WTXL) — A series of storms that struck the area from Tuesday afternoon left power outages and debris on the roads.

according to Florida Highway and Car Accidents and Road Conditions Report:

  • Road debris has been reported on US90 and County Highway 142 in Leon County.
  • A signal was reported at the intersection of North Magnolia Drive and East Call Street in Tallahassee
  • Notice that on Interstate 10 facing east at Quincy Mile Marker 164, a tree has fallen and is blocking both lanes facing east.
  • Vehicle collision on Interstate Highway 10 in front of Madison County Mile Maker 266

Power outage

  • The Tallahassee City As of 7:08 pm, an estimated 4,400 customers are reporting power outages.
  • Talkin Electric Corp As of 7:09 pm, more than 3,000 customers in Gadsden County report no electricity, 480 customers in Leon County report no electricity, and 185 customers report no electricity in Wakulla County.
  • As of 7:11 pm Duke Energy Has slightly over 100 unpowered customers in Wakra County, 110 unpowered customers in Jefferson County, and 35 unpowered customers in parts of Hamriton County. I am reporting.
