The team will play again on Thursday in Round 2 of the two-game set.

Savard’s goal occurred during a delay in a penalty call at Tampa Bay. After Alexander Texier pushed Andreas Volgaman’s check, he found Subard in the slot, passed McKellyney only once, and had 32 seconds left.

Savard finally scored a regular season goal against the 108-game span Nashville Predators on March 30, 2019. Savard’s final goal was against Lightning in Game 1 of the 2019 Opening Playoff Round on April 10, 2019.

Chernak hasn’t played since removing the puck from the inside of his knee in Dallas on March 23.

Head coach John Cooper said Chernark may be a little longer, but McDonna is at least one or two more games away.
