Kevin Durant’s attempt at a three-point tie bounced off the rim as soon as the horn rang. He scored the last 9 points of Nets and finished with 30 points.
Game 4 of the second round series is Milwaukee Sunday.
Khris Middleton scored 35 points and Janis Adetokumpo scored 33 points.
“We’ve been doing this for eight years and we knew what type of game it was and both were ready,” said Adetokumbo. “We were able to compete, involve our teammates, get into our spots and contribute to the team’s victory. Hopefully we can achieve that in Game 4 as well.”
Bucks competed for a 21-point lead, but Durant’s three points made him 83-80, with one minute and 23 seconds remaining to score the final six points, forcing him to catch up from behind.
Holiday scored only 9 points and scored 4 out of 14, making the biggest basket for the night.
Brooklyn led 83 to 82 when Bruce Brown removed the jumper with just over 20 seconds left. Adetokumbo took the rebound, Bucks moved the ball up-court, and Holiday led Milwaukee 84-83 towards the basket.

Milwaukee scored a 30-9 lead in the first 10 minutes, but when Nets returned to the game, he scored 22-3 in a stretch that lasted almost 9 minutes.
Neither team had more than five points in the second half, but both teams were very emotional.
