Citi Field has increased its fan capacity to nearly 34,000. Drive-through testing phased out at NYC

New York City (WABC) –Drive-through coronavirus testing facilities are being phased out throughout our region as more people will be vaccinated.

Test facilities at Jones Beach and Staten Island will be closed after a sharp decline in demand from January to May.

The reason is that so many people are vaccinated.

Citi Field has significantly increased its capacity to nearly 34,000 on Friday.

90% of the available seats are reserved for fully vaccinated people.

People sitting in small unvaccinated plots should stay socially distant and wear masks.

“The reopening rules allow vaccinated people to sit next to each other. Unvaccinated people must be socially distant, which reduces the capacity of the venue. The venue wants to be full. They want full revenue from the venue, “said Governor Andrew Kuomo.

In fact, there are still tickets for the Mets match against San Diego Padres on Friday night.
