One of the things that makes southwestern Florida special is water.
From the Caloosahatchee river to its beach.
On Saturday, the community will meet in Bonita Springs to learn about keeping local waterways clean and healthy.
The event is hosted by the Bonita Springs Real Estate Agents Association, along with FGCU Water School, Captains for Clean Water and Carusa Waterkeeper.
Greg Tolley of the FGCU Water School said the first step in preserving nature is to raise awareness.
“As part of that, we work with the community to maintain a healthy and economically viable condition and ensure the water quality and quantity we need to enjoy the quality of life we always enjoy. “Tolley said.
The event will take place from 10am to 2pm at the Riverside Park in Bonita Springs. Music and food will be available, but scientists and water experts will also be available.
