Coolsculpting – What Is It And Does It Really Work?

There are so many new technologies developed over the last few years, it is no surprise that CoolSculpting is one of them. It is a great way to get rid of that remaining fat that just won’t budge. CoolSculpting was FDA approved in 2010. Since then, it has become increasingly popular.

This type of treatment is preferable to treatments such as liposuction, which is quite invasive, requires surgery, and takes a while for recovery. This is evident in the fact that over 7,000,000 people worldwide have chosen to get this procedure.

What is Cool Sculpting?

It is a non-surgical treatment which reduces fat in stubborn areas. This type of treatment has been based on Cryolipolysis which uses cold to freezing temperatures which then reduce fat in the targeted area of the body.

CoolSculpting is a way to shape your body by removing fat in unwanted areas. This treatment freezes the fat cells in your body which then die over time. Once they die, your body would process the fat and remove the dead cells. This would then leave you with the body shape you wanted.

Even when a person goes on a diet, some of the fat will remain and will become difficult to remove. The procedure helps in removing this for you and sculpting your body to give it a better shape.

How much does it cost?

Prices can range from $800 to $4500 or more depending on the area you are looking to get done. Smaller areas such as the face, will cost significantly less than large areas such as the legs. It also depends on which clinic you go to, how many years they have been trading, and what kind of experience they have.

Clinics with big names who have been around for many years, will charge higher rates as they have an established client base. Smaller clinics that have only started up recently, will charge less. Experience is essential, as you want the best work done to your body. It is important to get results, and this can only be done with experience and qualifications.

How long is the procedure?

Normally, it would take roughly one to two hours per session. It is a bit of a long process, but definitely worth it in the end.

Are there any side effects?

Because the procedure is quite long, it may get somewhat uncomfortable as it could be a bit painful during the session. There can also be a sensation of pulling during the treatment, which is not always pleasant.

There can be some redness, itching, and bruising on the targeted area. This does not last too long after the session and is a minor side effect that can be dealt with. More serious side effects can cause the fat cells to enlarge instead of reduce. This happens mostly in men.

Does it actually work?

The procedure is effective in freezing about 20 to 25 percent of the fat in the target area. It takes one to three sessions to get the desired effect. It all depends on the area which the procedure is being done on.

The results take about a month to four months to be properly visible. Don’t get discouraged if you do not see them straight away, as the process takes a bit of time. Exercise and diet are essential to be maintained along with the sessions to see better results.

Who is it for?

The important thing to note here is that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. It is not like liposuction either. It is a method to freeze fat in specific areas of the body which cannot be removed in any other way. It is mainly used to help sculpt the body, such as remove excess fat under the arm, or remove stubborn belly fat.

This is by far one of the safest ways to reduce stubborn fat and get the figure you desire. It is expensive, but after your sessions you do not need to return. If you maintain a good diet and exercise, the fat should not return.

Patience is important here as results are not seen straight way. You will have to wait roughly 30 days to 4 months to see the results, but when you do, it will be worth it as about 25% of the fat is removed.
