Crocodile attack in Northport takes a man to the hospital

A 49-year-old man is in the hospital after being bitten by a Northport crocodile by the Warm Mineral Springs Motel on Tuesday.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, Sarasota County EMS, and FWC all responded to the crocodile attack.
The man was taken to the hospital to treat his injury.
The FWC captured the crocodile and removed it alive from the property. The crocodile was just over 7 feet long.
The crocodile has been moved to Townsend Farm in Labre, Florida.
