The body of 35-year-old Nisa Walcott Found in a plastic storage container On Friday in Bronx.
“I couldn’t explain the screams coming out of my stomach and I fell,” said Angie Johnson, Walcott’s sister-in-law. “I had a child at home and started crying.”
Walcott’s brother Eugene Butler said he had last talked with his sister on February 14.
But then Butler began to receive strange texts from her phone.
He was convinced that Walcott did not send them.
“No matter what she does, she always picks up the phone for me,” Butler said.
On February 16th, another strange text was sent to Walcott’s son telling the teenager that she was leaving for work and was about to leave Khalid Burrow.
But Johnson said Walcott would never have left his son.
“I remember when she gave birth to him, she told me it was her only child and it was her only child,” Johnson said.
When the teen went home, he said Barrow was cleaning the floor, and the apartment was smelted like bleach.
Police arrested Barrow as a murder suspect after a video on February 18 showed Barrow dragging a plastic bottle to the roof of the building.
Seven days later, Barrow returned with the help of a second man, who carried the container out of the building.
Later cameras show a man throwing a bottle into Bronx.
Autopsy revealed that Walcott had a broken neck bone and was strangled.
Walcott works for ACS and her colleagues lovingly remember her.
“She was an open book and wore her heart on her sleeve,” said her colleague Sinclair Mott. “I didn’t know that was happening in her private life. That would lead to something like this.”
Khalid was charged on Sunday morning with three counts of a second murder and concealment of the human body.
