In August, a mother was shot deadly by her toddler’s son during a Zoom call. As a result, his father is currently arrested.
according to Hill, Alta Monte Springs police announced the arrest of Veondore Avery.
Hill reports that he is currently being charged with “manslaughter and unsafe storage of firearms.”
The father said, “I literally just got home and came into the room … [and] My girlfriend, who worked at a computer, was just laid back and blood was everywhere. “
As previously reportedPolice at Alta Monte Springs said in a statement that 21-year-old Shamayalin had received a work-related zoom call when he was shot by a toddler.
It was called 911 when someone involved in Shamaya’s work saw Shamaya fall back after the child appeared in the background. Other participants in the meeting heard the noise, according to a police statement.
It is also reported that the gun was found on the Paw Patrol backpack.
According to NBC News, the Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun control advocacy group tracking reports, had at least 369 unintended shootings by children under the age of 18 last year, killing 142 people.
