Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a collision involving a Hendry County Sheriff’s vehicle on Thursday night.
According to a news release, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 29 and Park Avenue at around 10:15 pm.
The Troopers said the Chevrolet Trailblazer had stopped due to a stop sign on Park Avenue at the intersection of State Highway 29.
A vehicle from the marked Hendry County Sheriff’s Office was heading north on Statle Road 29, approaching Park Avenue.
The Trail Blazer began a left turn, moving into the path of the marked vehicle and causing it to collide.
A 59-year-old label man, a trail blazer driver, was seriously injured in a crash and was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
A 32-year-old Cape man driving a Hendry County sheriff’s car was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
