WINK News took a ride with our charter captain to find the best hidden gems in Collier County.
Collier County is busy. There are busy roads with busy people living busy lives. You may ask yourself, where should I go to escape from it?
WINK News has found some hidden gems to check out in Collier County.
Take a trip to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. There you can see and hear the sights and sounds of nature – the sounds of peace, tranquility and tranquility.
This hidden gem is located just 30 minutes east of Naples. Sanctuary Director Keisler Konen showed WINK News part of a natural oasis featuring 500-year-old cypress trees and his 2.25-mile adventure of corkscrew boardwalks.
“There’s plenty of space on this boardwalk, and you can always feel like you’re alone in nature,” Laakonen said.
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is a quiet place for the whole family.
Twenty miles south Wink News met charter captain Dean Murphy.
Stop 1: Riverwalk in Tin City.
“You can sit there, sit in the restaurant and have the whole experience of being on the water and being in Naples,” said Murphy.
Wink passed other boaters on their way to two stops called “The Dock”. According to Murphy, it is the oldest waterfront restaurant in Naples.
“There’s really a deep Neapolitan feel,” said Murphy.
Murphy said Hidden Gems in Naples has a Neapolitan vibe. what do you mean? He said anywhere that feels like home.
“People ask for what is suggested and what people always use often. Through a small little hole in the wall you can get to know the essence of Naples. It means the world to me. It is home,” said Murphy.
Murphy encourages everyone to get out and go to places they’ve never tried before. Holey restaurants, nature trails, or like him out on the water.
