Florida Institute of Technology students hold a film festival every April to introduce students and independent films to the community. This year, more than 20 short films from the United States and around the world will be screened.
5th annual FITV Film Festival It will be held online April 15-16, 2022 at the Gleason Performing Arts Center at the Florida Institute of Technology. The free festival is fully run by students at the Florida Institute of Technology Video Production (FITV).
Composed entirely of short films of less than 21 minutes, the festival includes selections from Italy, Spain, Chile, France, the Dominical Republic, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Israel and the United States. It will be.

According to the news release, the lineup includes 18 student entries and 8 professional filmmakers. Florida Institute of Technology is not represented in student films this year.

The festival begins on Friday, April 15th at 7pm, followed by 12 films, followed by 14 films from 6pm on Saturday. Every night, the screening lasts a little longer than two and a half hours, with three 10-minute breaks. .. Saturday ends with a 20-minute awards ceremony that recognizes the best student and non-student films in multiple categories, including Best Film Award, Best Director Award, and Best Screenplay Award.
Other elements of the festival include a red carpet photo booth, panel discussions, and free festival merchandise.
Organizers encourage guests to dress in formal wear.
