On Saturday afternoon, Fort Myers Brewing Company is hosting a fundraiser to help the 9-year-old Adin Pickett’s family leave behind medical expenses. He died of cancer last week..
From 4 pm to 9 pm, the Addin Strong fundraiser at 12811 Commerce Lakes Drive will feature food trucks, drinks, live music and a silent auction. The community donated auctioned items to Fort Myers Brewing Company, including kayaks, lottery ticket boards, and children’s baskets.
The brewery has had a fundraiser for the Pickett family in the past, and staff explain that Adin has the best smile and kind heart. I hope the money raised will be a little easier for his parents and Adin’s sister.
Jennifer White, co-owner of Fort Myers Brewing Company, said: “But it’s an honor to be able to do that. And it’s humble to be able to do that. The family shouldn’t experience what they’re experiencing right now. And I often talk about Erica and James. I think I think [Pickett]Obviously they lost their son. “
