Friends gather to remember a teen drowning in a pond in New Milford, NJ

New Milford, NJ (WABC)-Mourning friends head to Hardcastle Pond to bloom for Clinton Hideto. It was the place where an 18-year-old child was pulled out of the water late Friday night.

Friends Anugra Sam and people near Agit gathered with their family at their home in New Milford on Saturday night-his family was too devastated to speak.

“We are in a moment of sadness. This is a big process, especially mothers and fathers suffering big losses,” Sam said.

Police are still investigating why Ajit went into the water after 7 pm on Friday.

After a while, a policeman rushed to the pond after receiving a 911 call about drowning. The search began and the house later regained his body.

“Our heart is broken. Our community, our thoughts and prayers are with our families and our school district brothers. Therefore, our town is praying for that family.” New Milford Mayor Michael Putrino said.

Many who have learned of Ajit’s death are shocked. He was a student at New Milford High School and was very much liked. He played the trombone in a school band.

Now, memories are left while the family remains broken. Prayer has survived miserable times and has attracted many people.

According to police, his death seems to be an accident.

The coroner’s office will determine the exact cause of death.
