A new proceeding from Gabby Petito’s parents says Brian Laundry told his parents that he had killed his fiancée.
When Gabby disappeared in Wyoming, the couple made a national headline, and Brian returned to Northport without her.
The proceedings also state that Laundry tried to help their son leave the country after he told them he had killed Petite. However, the proceedings do not reveal how Petitos believes Laundry was helping him.
According to the proceedings, Brian Laundry told his parents that he had killed Gabby Petito during a cross-country trip in Wyoming on August 28. The lawsuit also states that the Petites called a lawyer and left him with the lawyer the day after Laundry returned to Northport with his daughter.
Brian’s mother, Roberta Laundry, also apparently couldn’t contact her because she blocked Gabby’s mother’s phone number and Facebook account.
The Petites say Laundry’s actions caused them pain, suffering, and mental distress, and they want compensation.
Steven Bertolino, a lawyer for the Laundrie family, sent a statement to WINK News.
Laundrie’s has not publicly commented on my instructions, which are their rights under the law, as I have maintained over the past few months. We deny this, assuming that everything Petitos claims in the proceedings is true, but the proceedings are the fact that Laundry was not obliged to speak to law enforcement agencies or third parties, including the Petito family. Does not change. This basic legal principle makes Petite’s allegations groundless under the law. “”
