It’s been almost half a year since my roommate, the iconic “Jeopardy!” Host Alex Trebek died at the age of 80 after a long battle with cancer. Meanwhile, the search for his successor took over social media. In the latest development, the legendary “Reading Rainbow” host and “Roots” star LeVar Burton has recently made a very popular petition to crown him as a permanent host of “Jeopardy!” I shared.
In the months following Alex Trebek’s death, there was a host rotating door trying to step into his shoes, but there is one name at the top of the “Jeopardy!” List. A fan as a perfect permanent host.
Not only is it a fan favorite, but celebrities such as legendary actor Dick Van Dyke and late-night host Stephen Colbert have also stamped him with approval, previously “Celebrity Geopardy!” Enter the Lever Burton you have earned. When he shared the petition on his Twitter account, he wrote, “I’ll leave it here in case the power is listening.”
The petition, which has collected more than 160,000 signatures so far, states:

At this time, it has not been decided who will take over as the permanent host of “Jeopardy!”.
