Longtime Fort Myers golf pro Richram dies at age 67

Fort myers

Community members in southwestern Florida remember the icon of local golf.

Richram, who has been the golf director of City Fort Myers since 1977, died at the age of 67.

Lamb was also a golf pro at Fort Myers Country Club for 45 years. Those who know him best said he was a brilliant example of what the PGA Pro should be. Lamb taught golf games to children for generations.

Steve Anderson, Rams’ 30-year-old friend, says he will be terribly missed.

“When I heard this morning, it … just devastates you,” Anderson said. “It’s like one of the best. He’s a real goat in golf.”

According to Anderson, the lamb did not put pressure on the students and always wanted them to enjoy the game.

A worship service in honor of the lamb is scheduled for November.
