Chile, I usually sway after 1 minute of planking, so the fact that Daniel Scari was able to hold the board for 9 hours, 30 minutes, 1 second is amazing.

Scali has set a world record to raise awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, also known as CRPS, which causes near-constant pain in the left arm as well as in itself. CNN.

“If I said I went for a record of trying to go to the board five years ago, there was no way to believe it,” Scari said.

Scari has been dealing with chronic pain since she was 12 years old when she fell off a trampoline and broke her left arm.

“The pain is still there,” he said. “Pain hasn’t changed, but my attitude towards pain has changed.”

This was the second time he had set a Guinness World Record, and he was disqualified on the first attempt, during which he held the board for 9 hours and 9 minutes.

The official wasn’t playing the game! They reportedly had problems with Scari’s hip position.

Y’all is really surprised to learn that Scali first tried a board pose a little less than a year ago!

“My first plank was November 2020, which was two minutes,” he said. “And two minutes felt like an absolute life.”

Then in January, Scari began to consider how to apply for the Guinness World Records with the help of his coach. He also helped his compression band, which he wears daily on his left arm, to relieve the pain he experiences.

But despite the compression band, there were times when he couldn’t move his arm between his boards, Scari said.

“I wanted to show people that if I wanted to do it and believed I could do it, no matter what kind of pain I had, no matter what problem I had, I wanted to show people to do it,” Scari said. ..

In his record-breaking journey, Scali raised over $ 14,000 for CRPS recognition.

The former record holder was a 62-year-old American man, a former Marine, and retired as a Special Agent for Drug Enforcement. He set a record last year by holding the board for 8 hours 15 minutes 15 seconds.
