Germantown Bookstore is a black-owned bookstore that sells books on black culture and black ideas written by black writers.
‘Cool people. Dope book. “Great coffee” is the shop’s slogan and we aim to bring it to the Germantown community.
Bookstores and coffee shops are named after Lamont Hill’s uncle who taught him the importance of reading and activism.
“Uncle Bobby’s house was a place I went to not only for good food, conversation and family, but also to learn about black ideas. To really learn about black writers. What happens in the world?” To learn what they are doing. ”
