McDonald’s Russian fast food store temporarily closes the war between Ukraine and Russia

Detroit-McDonald’s announced on Tuesday that it will temporarily close all 850 restaurants in Russia in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The hamburger giant said he would continue to pay 62,000 employees in Russia. However, McDonald’s president and CEO Chris Kempkinski said in an open letter to his employees that McDonald’s couldn’t ignore “unnecessary human suffering in Ukraine”, so they decided to open these stores. He said closing was the right thing to do.
