Family still says holidays won’t be the same since ‘life of the party’ uncle’s death

jacksonville, florida – It’s been four years since 66-year-old Lucius Williams was found beaten to death in the Bunker Hill neighborhood in 2019 and lost what one family called “the life of the party.”

The family said that day was Williams’ favorite time of the year, so it’s always a challenge to celebrate the holiday season. He said he would have celebrated it.

The relationship Antoinette Clemons shared with her uncle was one she cherished.

“He was my rider. I called him wherever I wanted to go and he was there,” Clemons said. He made me laugh. He made us all laugh.”

Williams retired and rented a guest house for about five years, police said. His body was found on April 4 and police said they suspected foul play in his death.

“Now that he’s not here, it’s a void. It’s been four years and every holiday seemed like we would get together and enjoy each other, but now we just can’t do that,” Clemons said. Told.

“If you have a problem, whatever it is, he’s there to help you,” Williams said.

The family has yet to receive an update on the incident and they are still looking for answers.

“We just want closure. We want to know what happened to him,” Clemons said.
