Gregory Jarvis was playing Jack, a club keynote add-on game, at Bluewater Inn in Caseville, Michigan, on September 13. He was a big hit.
In the photo you can see that he has a $ 45,000 ticket.
“”[He was a] A very nice person. He was here every day, “said Dawn Taraski.
Mr. Taraski said on the night of the 19th that Jarvis had returned to the inn to buy drinks, but had not yet cashed his tickets at that time.
“He didn’t have a social security card at all so he couldn’t monetize it, it didn’t help anything, so he applied for a new one,” she said. ..
The night he left was the last time everyone believed to have seen Jarvis. Taraski felt something was wrong the next day when he didn’t come to the bar.
“Sometimes he works north. He wasn’t here for a week, and we thought something was wrong,” Taraski said.
She said Jarvis’ boss came to the bar next Wednesday and said he didn’t show up at work. On Friday morning, a resident along a private beach called the police said the body had been washed ashore near a boat that turned out to be a Jarvis boat.
“I think he tied the boat, slipped and fell and hit his head, where he fell into the water. No fraudulent play was suspected,” police said.
Caseville Police Chief Kyle Romzek said he did more research when his department learned about the winning lottery.
“I was worried at first, but when I interviewed people at the bar after the autopsy, he was very much liked around here. He was a good person. [so] It took it off the table. “
Autopsy indicates that he was drowned after suffering a head injury consistent with Jarvis hitting his head on the boat.
Mr. Taraski said Mr. Jarvis had made some plans for the money.
He was planning to take the money and go see his sister and his dad in North Carolina, “she said.
The Michigan Lottery Commission has confirmed that winners of prizes over $ 600 must provide photo ID and a real social security card to collect the prize. ..
A relative of Jarvis got a winning ticket.
