Motorcyclist killed in crash at Beach Boulevard intersection, South Side

jacksonville, florida – A man was killed after multiple vehicles collided at the intersection of South Side Boulevard and Beach Boulevard around 9:15 on Friday night.

FHP said a Cadillac CTS stopped at a red light with a Honda motorcycle right behind.

A Nissan Sentra was then reportedly hit by the rear of the motorcycle, forcing it into the rear of the CTS.

Both riders of the motorcycle were taken to Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the motorcycle driver, a 49-year-old man, later died in hospital.

The passenger is a 51-year-old woman who is still in critical condition. Reportedly, she was not wearing a helmet.

According to reports, the driver of the car was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.

Authorities say charges are pending against the 41-year-old man who drove the Sentra that struck the motorcycle.
