St. Pete Police searching for missing 2-year-old

Pinellas County, Florida – Law enforcement agencies across the state are looking for a 2-year-old boy after his mother was found dead in his St. Petersburg apartment on Thursday. WFLA reports.

An Amber Alert issued to Taylen Mosley at 5:39 p.m. Thursday said the boy was last seen on 4th Street North in St. Petersburg.

The boy’s mother, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffrey, was murdered at the Lincoln Shores Apartments on North Fourth Avenue, according to a WFLA report.

Tyren is a black male with brown hair and brown eyes, about 2 feet tall and weighing about 30 pounds.

WFLA reported that neighbors heard a “commotion” from the apartment around 9:30 pm Wednesday, and that the family called for a medical examination for Jeffrey at 2:30 pm Thursday. At that time, her body was discovered.

St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway called it “a very violent murder scene in an apartment,” WFLA said.

WFLA reported Thursday that police said the infant was not with his father.

Anyone with information should immediately contact the St. Petersburg Police at 727-892-7780 or FDLE at 1-888-FL MISSING (1-888-356-4774).
