Interim Transport President Sarah Feinberg said he had considered stopping the train and closing the entire elevated subway line, which track inspectors claimed to have failed the inspection.
She says she was stunned and angry.
“The report was credible, I raised a great deal of concern and we took immediate action,” Feinberg said. “I didn’t want those people to touch anything sensitive to safety, so we removed them, and I had all the supervisors immediately inspect the entire system.”
Eyewitness News found that an internal investigation focused on at least seven of the approximately 100 men and women whose job was to walk the rails looking for defects. Trucks should be inspected twice a week.
“They weren’t inspecting the pieces of the truck they were in charge of,” Feinberg said.

She says it’s unclear how long this lasted.
When the supervisor inspected the railroad tracks, transportation officials said they found a defect in the rails.
“There are no more serious problems that are life-threatening or cause concern,” Feinberg said. “But let’s be clear. That was horrifying. But even reports that this could happen, enough concern that I would walk every inch of the track with all the supervisors. Caused. “
She says she is happy that the public is not at risk and that redundant measures are always in place to ensure safety.
The union’s international president counterattacked on Friday night.
“In fact, frontline truck inspectors have been scapegoated for adhering to decades of flawed practices and procedures. The system itself is broken,” he said. It was. “But with the expertise of TWU track inspectors, subway tracks would be catastrophic.”
Union officials claim that inspectors have not been accused of safety-related breaches. They remain suspended and this investigation is not over.
