Lyon Appointed CEO of New Life Mission
Amy Lyon He was recently promoted to Chief Executive Officer of New Life Mission, a non-profit, transformative housing program in Melbourne. It aims to break the homeless cycle of women with children.
Lyon began with the New Life Mission in 2018 and has played multiple roles, including Case Manager, Facility Coordinator and Program Director.
In 2020, Lyon launched the organization’s social enterprise, the Transformed Shop. This is a sewing center where women in the program learn to cut and sew recycled fabrics and denim. The product is sold publicly and the profits are returned to the mission.
Prior to non-profit activities, Lyon had a 20-year career as an award-winning journalist and editor in Minnesota. She is also the published author.

New Life Mission has four campuses in Melbourne. With current capacity for 23 families. While participating in the program, participants receive housing, access to healthcare, counseling, financial coaching, life skills education and vocational training.
The organization recently purchased 25 acres at the end of Croton Road from the Children’s Home Society, formerly the Hacienda Girls Ranch. The New Life Mission will begin serving families there later this summer.

The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) is an international group of prominent real estate professionals who provide professional advisory services to clients on complex real estate and land related issues.
Only 1,000 professionals in all areas of real estate hold CRE certification in the United States and 20 other countries.
Membership is extended by invitation, but may be applied by a commercial real estate practitioner with 10 years of experience.

Acquisition International is an international monthly digital monthly business magazine launched in 2010. It focuses on issues related to leading managers, investment professionals, business advisors and service professionals.
Rich has been working for Viera Insurance since 2021 after working in the home insurance industry since 2012.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and comparative politics from the University of Central Florida and a minor in European history. She has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the American Military University, with a focus on crisis and disaster management.
Lich is a mother of two children. She is currently volunteering at the Family Promise of Brevard.
