New York Police Department broke his leg after being attacked by a stolen car in Jamaica, Queens

Queens, Jamaica (WABC)-On Tuesday night, a policeman broke his leg after being attacked by a vehicle fleeing police in Queens.

The incident occurred at Guy R Brewer Bullbird after 7 pm. On 109th Avenue in Jamaica, police found a man spraying a black Honda Accord.

When police approached the suspect, authorities say he jumped into the car he was destroying and tried to drive him away.

During his flight, the suspect hit a police officer in a car and broke his leg.

Police said the suspect and his accomplice had been arrested.

They said the black Honda Accord looked like it had been stolen.

The officer was taken to Jamaica and listed in a stable condition.
