In preparation for tenants, the interior construction of the San Marco Theater begins.

San Marco, Florida – The owners of the now-closed San Marco Theater are doing preparatory work to make it ready to lease to tenants.

Reporting Partner of the Jacksonville Daily Record The interior walls and flooring have already been removed.

Records indicate that the city is currently considering a permit application to remove other items from the interior.

The owner said the plan is to still keep the exterior the same.

People have left notes how much they miss the theater. Some notes said they didn’t want anything too drastic.

TSG Realty announced it had purchased the property last September.

Pam Howard, the company’s property manager and agent, said: He told his partner at Jacksonville Daily Records:

“We will never demolish this building. It is structurally sound and looks great.

However, it is not yet known exactly which tenants will open stores in the building.

Jacksonville Beach’s Building Dynamics Inc. has applied for a permit to demo the interior of the property, according to records.

Approximately 5,000 square feet of construction with an estimated cost of $160,000.

The Daily Record also shows that the building itself is in high demand from potential tenants. It will take a while to know for sure what is coming here.

Records also report that property managers say there are no seats or personal items left in the building.And they are getting local and national interest from potential lessors.
