New York Weather: Flash Floods, Thunderstorm Warnings Issued in Parts of New Jersey, New York

New York (WABC)-Flash flood warnings have been issued as part of the Tristate as New York City officially marks the first heat wave of the season.

Warnings are valid in New York and parts of New Jersey.

Ocean County, New Jersey also issued a heavy thunderstorm warning until 6:45 pm.

In some parts of New Jersey, the heat precautions will continue to be valid until Tuesday night.

Thermal alerts are valid until 8 pm on Tuesday in northeastern New Jersey, including Newark. In this area, the heat index value can approach 100.
