Initially, four suspects were detained in the NYPD, but one has not been charged and will be released.
The suspect is bound by a series of slashes on the subway early Friday morning.
Three of them happened on four southbound trains within just 12 minutes.
16-, 18-, and 19-year-old face robbery, assault, and weapons accusations.
This 16-year-old boy faces two counts: robbery, assault, and criminal possession of weapons.
18-year-old Joseph Foster was charged with robbery and criminal possession of weapons, and 19-year-old Takuarius Soto Burgos was charged with two robbers and two criminal possessions of weapons.
Police are still looking for the suspect caught in a video standing near the ticket gate.
According to officials, the group was responsible for 12 minutes of terrorism, during which four people were attacked in three separate cases.
Victims were slashed and robbed of what might have been the gangster’s soul.
One of the victims told Witness News about the horrific encounter.
“I am blessed to be alive,” said the victim. “That’s important to me.”
The news is the latest in a series of violent crimes in the subway system, and MTA officials have appealed to the city to assign hundreds of additional police officers to the transportation system.
The mayor says the MTA is in politics and has already surged 500 police officers into the subway. The system is about to resume service 24 hours a day on Monday.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
