New York (WABC)-A series of thunderstorms are heading to New York, which may contain destructive winds and flash floods.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are valid in most parts of New Jersey until 9 pm Monday evening.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued until 9 pm in the counties of Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Somerset.
