ST. Albans, Queensland (WABC)-One person is in crisis after a police-involved gunshot in Queensland.

The shooting took place on 205-17 Avenue in St Albans just before 6:30 pm on Saturday.

The situation surrounding the shooting is unknown.

Kiaeem Thomas lives just around the corner from the shoot.

“It was near my house. Suddenly I heard a shot. They were really big and rapid fires like a war zone,” he said.

When Thomas heard the barrage of shooting, he looked down on the street and saw police officers in a defensive position. He says he hurried them home because his family was outside.

“The bullet has no name. So I took my family out. I’m not surprised. The situation is so bad now. I’m not surprised. I’m just praying for my city. Only, “he added.

According to the FDNY, the other eight were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
