Passengers are in a hurry to get home on the busiest travel day of the holiday season

East Elmhurst (WABC) in Queens-Go home in the post-Thanksgiving rush-Sunday is usually one of the busiest travel days on vacation.

At LaGuardia Airport, Eyewitness News discovered a mixed bag.

James McCall just had it when he boarded the plane at Terminal A.

“We traveled about 12 hours on Tuesday and traveled from 7 am to midnight landing in Denver,” he said.

But nothing compared to this day in 2019, when TSA agents across the country screened a record 2.9 million passengers. That was before COVID forced authorities to fly to the ground at airports around the world.
