Pepperoni pizza hot pocket recalled for possible glass contamination

More than 760,000 pepperoni pizza hot pockets sold nationwide have been recalled by the US Department of Agriculture for possible glass contamination, officials said.

The product’s frozen 54-oz package is manufactured from November 13th to November 16th and has a shelf life of 14 months.

“The company has received one report of a minor oral injury related to consumption of this product. FSIS (Food Safety and Inspection Service) has not received any additional reports of injury or illness due to consumption of this product. Anyone worried about injury or illness should contact the health care provider, “USDA said in a statement on Saturday.

The details of the specific products that are subject to recall are as follows:

Other Hot Pockets products are not part of the recall.

“FSIS is concerned that some products may be frozen and placed in consumer freezer,” USDA said. “Consumers who purchase this product are encouraged not to consume it. This product must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.”
