Police say a man who beat a tourist at a Miami Beach bus stop has been detained

Miami Beach, Florida – Surveillance video captures the moment a man launches an attack while on vacation at Miami Beach, accused of beating a couple from New Hampshire.

According to police, Michael Albert, 36, was arrested Wednesday in Miami-Dade County for an unprovoked beating.

According to arrest reports, Albert was sitting outside the Sherbucke Hotel on a bus bench on Collins Avenue and 9th Avenue around 7 pm on Friday. Two tourists, a man and a woman, were walking south on the sidewalk. Police said the suspect was later identified as Albert and got up and began beating a 28-year-old man. This can also be seen in the video.

Police officers said in a video they saw Albert hitting a man with his closed fist 9-10 times. According to police, she was also beaten in the face when the woman tried to stop Albert.

The video shows the suspect crossing the street after beating on the eastern sidewalk of Collins Avenue and walking north.

Victims said Albert did not rob them, but beat them with an unprovoked attack.

“Visitors from the northeast are particularly sick and show that they will never step into Miami Beach,” said Mitchnovic, owner of the Sherbrooke Hotel. It was Novic’s camera that captured the incident.

The man suffered multiple bruise, had cuts on his lips and needed seams. The woman’s left eye was swollen with a single blow.
