According to police, the incident occurred at Robert A. Van Wick Middle School on 144th Avenue around 2:30 pm on Wednesday, December 1.
According to police, an unidentified male suspect managed to enter school, enter the bathroom, and approach an 11-year-old student inside.
The suspect showed the knife and pointed it at the victim’s chest, demanding money.
The student said the suspect had no money, so he robbed the victim of his water bottle and fled the school. The victim was not injured.
In addition, another attack was reported at the corner of 85 Road and 149th Street just 5 minutes later.
This time, an unidentified suspect approached a 51-year-old man and began discussions with him.
The suspect pulled out the knife and began to rush into the victim’s throat, but did not make contact.
He continued to slash the victims, cutting his coat but not his arm.
The suspect threw a water bottle at the man and escaped from the place. The victim was not injured.
Police describe the male suspect as being about a teenager, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, slim and pale. He was finally seen wearing a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket, and black trousers.
Police have released sketches and surveillance images of the suspect.
