USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced a recall on Wednesday. The turkey minced item was produced on September 28, 2021.
The following products are subject to recall.
- A tray containing “BUTTERBALL All Natural Turkey Minced from Farm to Family” with a 2.5 pound case code 50211271, sold or frozen until October 18, 2021, and a time stamp from 2123 to 2302 printed on the package.
- “Kroger GROUND TURKEY” with 3-pound case code 50211271, sold or frozen until October 17, 2021, and a tray with a time stamp from 2314 to 2351 printed on the package.
According to FSIS, products have the facility number “EST.P-7345” inside the USDA inspection mark.
These items have been shipped to retail stores nationwide.
FSIS states that it has received consumer complaints about plastics. There are no confirmed reports of injuries due to consumption of these products.
“FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ freezers and refrigerators. Consumers who purchase these products are encouraged not to consume them. The product must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase, “says the agency.
