Renamed Bronx Street to “Stan Lee Way” in honor of the Marvel Comics legend

Morris Heights, Bronx (WABC)-A special memorial service was held on Thursday for comic book legend Stan Lee.

The Stan Lee Way was unveiled Thursday morning at University Avenue between Brandt Place in the Morris Heights section and 7 West 176 Street.

It was named after a part of University Avenue where Lee grew up.

He then attended DeWitt Clinton High School, not far away.

Lee was the mastermind behind the best superheroes in comics and movies, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America.

Lee died in 2018.
