Shakira’s Super Bowl outfit, lyrics appear at Grammy Museum

Los Angeles – Two outfits worn by Shakira Super Bowl halftime performanceher handwritten lyrics and intensely crystallized electric guitar, are among the items on display at the museum’s exhibit in Los Angeles.

The Grammy Museum announced Thursday that the multiple Grammy winner will have her first exhibition on March 4. An exhibit called “Shakira: The Grammy Museum Experience” features 40 of her artifacts from her personal archive in the museum’s permanent Latin music gallery.

In a statement, Shakira said, “I am honored to have my career journey showcased at the Grammy Museum.” I am so happy to be able to relive these memories with the people who continue to support me as an artist.”

Shakira’s electric guitar covered in 70,000 black crystals and the acoustic guitar used for songwriting will be on display. Other items include outfits from the 2018 Eldorado Tour and the 2-inch album “Oral Fixation Vol. 2005.”

“Shakira is the rare superstar who has found a way to continue to evolve as an artist while at the same time growing a huge audience with her,” said Grammy Museum chief curator and vice president of curatorial affairs. Jacen Emmons said. “She takes music seriously and the Grammy Museum is thrilled to offer a dynamic exhibit that reflects her intellect and artistry.”
