Police say the SUV was pulled up to an outdoor party when the three suspects got out of the car and began shooting indiscriminately at the crowd.
Many people gathered outside the venue that hosted the planned event, and some patrons stood outside the northwestern part of Miami-Dade County.
A fire rescue team responded, determining that two victims had died on the scene and transferred the other eight to various hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward.
In addition, more than 12 other victims were self-transported to various hospitals. At least one victim was transported in danger.
Police officers characterized the shooting as a target and called it “cowardly behavior.”
Authorities are still looking for archers this morning.
Detectives seek the help of the community for all information to include the identity / location of the individual responsible for this act.
Miami-Dade Police Chief Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez III accused gun violence and responded to a fatal incident.
I am at the scene of another targeted and timid gun violence, where more than 20 victims were shot dead and two were sadly killed. These are cold-blooded murderers who shot indiscriminately at the crowd and we seek justice. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the victims’ families.
