Students can be vaccinated at Sandalwood High School Clinic

Jacksonville, Florida – Duval students over the age of 12 can roll up their sleeves today and take Pfizer’s first dose on Saturday.

The Duval County School, which begins at 9 am, hosts a clinic for students at Sandalwood High School in Arlington.

Students under the age of 18 must come to the vaccination site with their parents or guardians for consent. Students will not be able to take shots without a parent or guardian.

With the CDC approving children over the age of 12 to shoot Pfizer on Wednesday, Duval School is wasting time giving students access to the vaccine.

That’s why today we are offering a sandalwood clinic through a partnership between the Florida Department of Health-Duval, Health Heroes, and Duval County Public Schools.

The clinic starts at 9am and lasts until 5pm on Saturday.

Sandalwood High is located in John Prom Boulevard. Parking is available at the gym parking lot, right next to Sam Hardwick Road or John Prom Boulevard.

There is no cost, but pre-registration is required. Parents can register from the Duval County Public Schools FOCUS Parents Portal account. To minimize waiting times, parents can choose their preferred booking time frame at the time of registration.

Students taking the first Pfizer today will be able to return here for the second dose on June 5th.
