The man at the Golden Gate Estate who shot the victim and then buried him has no bond

Collier County

The man accused of murdering his roommate and burying him in the backyard remains in prison without being detained.

Michael Allen Pritchard, 35, who was arrested on Friday, held his first inquiry on Saturday morning.

Judge Kyle S. Cohen presided over the trial.

Collier County Sheriff Det. Dean Fredericks testified that the cause of death of the victim was a gunshot wound in his head.

According to Fredericks, Pritchard owns a firearm at home and will be analyzed.

According to the prosecutor, Pritchard told the victim’s brother that he had kicked the victim out, but that was not true.

Pritchard did not appear in court, but a lawyer spoke for him.

Cohen ordered Pritchard to let go of the gun.

According to arrest reports, Pritchard of the Golden Gate Estate has been accused of murdering his roommate after discovering that a man was “masturbating in Pritchard’s girlfriend’s underwear.”

Pritchard reportedly confessed to at least one witness of the killing.

He was detained after a detective found the body buried in a shallow tomb of his property on Northeast 10th Avenue.
