South Carolina officials say they are investigating that at least nine people were injured in a shooting at a club in Hampton County early Sunday. This was the third mass shooting in the United States over the Easter holiday weekend.
State law enforcement said in an email that no deaths were reported in early shootings at clubs in Hampton County. Information on the severity of the injury was not immediately available. SLED states that it was commissioned by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office to investigate. Hampton County is about 80 miles west of Charleston.
Meanwhile, in Pittsburgh, two minors were killed and at least eight were injured during a shooting at a house party. Schubert, the prime minister of the Pittsburgh police station, told reporters that the shootings that followed the quarrel took place around 12:30 am during a party at a short-term rental property that attracted hundreds of people. ..
The shooting on Sunday is the day after the shooting took place in the bustling shopping district of the capital city of Colombia. Colombian police chief WH “Skip” Holbrook said nine people were shot dead and five were injured while trying to escape the scene at the Colombian Nacenter. The victims were between 15 and 73 years old.
Colombian police have announced the arrest of 22-year-old Jewain M. Price. He was one of the first three to be detained by law enforcement as a person interested in shooting Mohr. Prices will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm on suspicion of illegal carrying of the pistol. It’s not immediately clear if Price has a lawyer who can speak for him.
Police say the 73-year-old victim continues to be treated, while other victims have been or will be released from local hospitals soon.
“I don’t think this is random,” Holbrook said. “We believe they knew each other, and something led to the shooting.”
