Colorado homeowner found snake in bottom wall of new home

Centennial, Colorado (KDVR) — Amber Hall and her two children moved into a new home in Centennial, Colorado in April. Hall, 42, is a single mother and says she spent her life buying her house.

“It was amazing,” said Hall.

But that quickly changed when Hall made a terrifying discovery. It means that snakes live in walls and under houses.

“I was unpacking here and one of my dogs crouched down and started walking very slowly into this corner and I was like, ‘What the fuck, buddy?’ I thought maybe it was a spider. As I got closer, I could see a snake crawling up the wall,” Hall said. “I started looking, but there were more and more snakes.”

Snakes behind drywall, snakes under the patio

Since then, she has found snakes behind the drywall and under the patio. She says she has spent more than $1,000 on traps and professional help so far.

“The Snake Wrangler who caught some snakes for me said that the snakes he caught looked about 2-3 years old, so I imagine they’ve been here a long time and there are many more. said Hall.

Hall said the listing agent was uncooperative and did not return calls from FOX31 in Denver. According to the Colorado Real Estate Association, buyers can sue if they can prove the damage and that the seller had actual knowledge of the condition.

“I just want someone to take responsibility for whatever it takes to get them out,” Hall said.

Until then, Hall said her box will remain packed.

“Honestly, I don’t even know if I can live in peace here. I’m petrified.
