Death Investigation Underway in St. Johns County

st.Johns County, Florida – A death investigation is underway in St. Johns County on Monday, a spokesperson said.

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the sheriff responded early in the morning on North Cross Road, north of County Route 214, “in connection with the deceased individual.”

The sheriff’s office said the Major Crimes Unit was also called to the scene.

By midnight, the coroner’s office was also on the scene.

The sheriff’s office said the cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.

“The community has no cause for concern,” the sheriff’s office said.
